Mary M. Spinning, widow of Benjamin Spinning, petitioned Cayuga County court for probate of Benjamin's will[1] on 14 Nov 1844. Her children Augustus, Charlotte, William, Mary and Sarah were all minors.
In 1850 she was living in Cato, Cayuga, New York.[2] The household included Mary Spinning age 47, Augustus Spinning age 20, Mary Spinning age 13, William Spinning age 12, and Sarah Spinning age 10, all born in New York. Mary was a farmer. Augustus was a farmer.
In 1855 she was living in Cato, Cayuga, New York.[3] The household included Mary M Spinning age 52, son Augustus W Spinning age 25, son Wm M Spinning age 16, daughter Mary F Spinning age 18, daughter Sarah C Spinning age 14. Mary was born in Madison County. The children were all born in Cayuga County.
She died 26 Mar 1858 in Cayuga County.
She is buried in Crosman Cemetery, Cato, Cayuga County, New York.[4]
