Biography

Birth and Baptism
Harriet, the daughter of John Stamp and his wife Frances, née Daniel, who had been married at South Kelsey, Lincolnshire, on 27 November 1804,[1][2] was born at South Kelsey in 1814 and baptized at St Mary's church, South Kelsey, on 5 August 1814.[3][4]

1841 Census
The 6 June 1841 census records Harriet in service at Low Risby, Lincolnshire, to farmer Charles Holgate and his family.[5]

Marriage
Harriet married James Richardson at St Mary's church, Roxby, Lincolnshire, on 15 May 1845. Harriet was described as a Spinster, aged 31, resident at Roxby, daughter of John Stamp, a Labourer. Witnesses were John Hill and Eliza Jane Chapman.[6][7][8]

Harriet and James had children:

  1. Mary Frances, born at Whitton, Lincolnshire, in 1846[9] and baptized at St John the Baptist church, Whitton, on 26 April 1846.[10][11]
  2. John, born at Whitton in 1849[12] and baptized at St John the Baptist church, Whitton, on 25 February 1849.[13][14] John died at Whitton in 1852[15] and was buried at Whitton on 12 November 1852.[16][17]
  3. Elizabeth Ann, born at Whitton in 1853[18] and baptized at St John the Baptist church, Whitton, on 6 November 1853.[19][20]

The 30 March 1851 census records Harriet, her husband James, and their two children living at Whitton.[21]
