Biography

Daisy Mae Stockbridge was born on 29 December 1896 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine,. She was the daughter of Benjamin Stockbridge and Isabel Norwood. Daisy Mae Stockbridge and Carl Colson Lawson Sr. were married on 21 July 1917 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Carl Colson Lawson Sr., son of George Gardner Lawson and Wilhemena Sprague, was born on 8 May 1892 in Tremont, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Year of birth also reported as 1893. He served in the military in World War I. He died on 13 May 1976 at the age of 84 in Bar Harbor Hospital, Maine, USA.

Her obituary indicated that she was survived by three sons and five daughters. She is survived by three sons, Carl Lawson, Jr. of West Tremont, Calvin Lawson of Stonington and Benjamin Lawson of Florida; five daughters, Wilhemean Butler and Thelma Harper, both of Seal Cove, Dorothea Lawson of Bar Harbor, Isabel Forand of New Bredford, Mass., Helen Butler of Hampden, 37 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.She was buried at Hillrest Cemetery at Tremont, Maine.
