Biography

Elizabeth Ann Stracener was b. ca. 1824 in AL, daughter of Michael Stracener and Elizabeth (Brashear) Stracener

She married Wilburn R Seale/Seals 7 Nov 1842 in St Clair County, AL[1].

Her father, Michael Stracener named her in both a gift deed and in his will:

In the gift deed, "Elizabeth Seales wife of Wilborn Seals" and 6 of her siblings received equal shares of Michael's property located in St Clair Co, AL [2]

In Michael's will as his married daughter Elizabeth received an additional $50 (her brothers and unmarried sister received $100[3]

She and Wilburn lived in St Clair county through 1880 after which they moved to Pike County AR and lived with his son William E Seals.

Death

Both Elizabeth and Wilburn are buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Newhope, Pike, AR but there is no information on the stones.[8] Latest record found at this time is the census of 1880 in St Clair county AL, so death is later than that.
