Biography
Alice was the daughter of William Stratford and his first wife Joyce. [1]
Research Notes
My suspicion is that Alice is Alicia, the wife successively of William Bruce and Arthur Huckvale. Her cousin, Henry Stratford married Abigaile Cole in the same parish of Lower Heyford in 1583, so there is a known family connection to the parish, although Alice's and Henry's marriages are the only mention of Stratfords in the Lower (Nether) Heyford parish records prior to 1700. Proving, or disproving, that these are the same women is another matter.
