James, born 8 Jul 1782 served in War of 1812. He married Nancy Musick in 1807 and died 25 Mar 1841. The Duncans of Bourbon County, c 1943, pg 5-6. [3][2][4]

Elizabeth was the daughter of Col. John Strode and Mary Boyles, pioneer and founder of Strode's Station in Clark County, Kentucky. She gave birth to thirteen children. All except one lived to maturity and her descendants left a legacy of honor, dignity and strength to the country at a time when the early settlers were migrating westward. They were farmers, soldiers, merchants, doctors, lawyers and politicians.
