James Stuart was born about 1769 in Augusta County, Virginia, British Colonial America. He was the son of Alexander Stuart and his wife Mary Moore.

James Stuart was married to Elizabeth Stockton about 1803 in Staunton, Augusta, Virginia, United States.[1]

James Stuart was born about 1772 in Augusta, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Stockton (b. abt. 1772) in Staunton, Augusta, Virginia in about 1803. Their children:

  • Dabney, b. abt. 1804 Virginia; d. Meadville, Mississippi
  • Stockton, b. abt. 1806 Virginia
  • Mary, b. abt. 1808 Virginia
  • Oscar James Elizabeth, b. 25 March 1810, Staunton, VA; d. 28 Feb 1885, Yazoo, Mississippi.

James Stuart died in Mississippi, in about 1818.[2]

James (John) Stuart was born about 1770 in Augusta, Virginia, the son of Alexander Stuart and Mary Moore. He died about 1818. In about 1800 James and Elizabeth Stockton (b. abt. 1777, Albemarle, VA) were married in Augusta, VA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Richard Moore (1710 NJ-1775 VA) and Agnes Anthony (b. 1710 VA).
