Sylvanus Teed served with King's American Regiment during the American Revolution.

From Dot: He was a Drummer 25 April 1782 - 24 June 1782 in dePeyster's company of Kings American Reg. in Savannah, Georgia. And again with John Livingston's co KAR Jan 26, 1783, Flushing, NY still a drummer and Philip Teed was a corporal in same unit.

On 15 November 1779, Drummer Sylvanus Teed was recorded on the Muster Roll of Captain Thomas Cornwell's Company of Light Infantry of the King's American Regiment in Lloyd's Neck, New York. [2]

Drummer Sylvanus Teed was exchanged with Drummer Jesse Bostick and was recorded on the Muster Roll of Captian Abraham de Peyster's Company of the King's American Regiment in Georgetown, South Carolina on 24 February 1781. [3]

Sylvanus, as well as Elias and Solomon and the King's American Regiment, arrived in the province of Nova Scotia (now New Brunswick) onboard the William on 27 September 1783. [4]

On 22 August 1787. land was granted in Woodstock Parish to: [5]
