His parents Basile and Anne-Josèphe were deported from Pisiguit to Pennsylvania in 1755. [1] Their children were on a list of French Neutrals in Pennsylvania in 1756. Basile and Anne-Josèphe were recorded as deceased. [2]
After the end of the Seven Years' War in 1763, the Acadians detained in the Anglo-American colonies were finally free to leave. On 1 March 1765, James Murray, Governor of the Province of Quebec, issued a proclamation offering free land to new immigrants. Between 1765 and 1775, 1306 Acadians deported to New England immigrated to Quebec. [3]
He passed away on 17 March 1826 and was buried on 20 March 1826 in Saint-Jacques-de-l'Achigan. The fact that his parents were named in the burial record, but no spouse, indicates that he was single. [4]

Anne-Josèphe Leprince (Antoine & Anne Trahan), married around 1739 to Basile Thibodeau (no parents given). Died before the 1756 census.
