Biography

Edwin Lawrence Thompson, son of Car and Emma (Parton) Thompsons, was born on 20 Dec. 1915[1] at Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.[2][3][4] He appeared on the census of 6 Jan .1920 in the home of his parents at Denison, Grayson County, Texas.[5]

He married Mary Lee Gilliland.[2]

He married Grace May Abbott.[1][2]

He served in the US Navy from 7 Sep. 1943 to 2 April 1946.[4]

Edwin died on 29 Nov. 1981[4] at Alba, Wood County, Texas[1] and was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. His memorial has photos including his headstone recognizing his military service and links to those of his family members.[2]
