Biography

Marij Tijsz married Jan Vokelsz, a widower in Andijk 29 years her senior, on Sept 14 1732 in Andijk. Since our Maria's sister Maartje was married and having children before and after 1732, this would have to be Maria. And both went by Marij / Marijtje at this time, which can make things rather confusing.

Marijtje Tijsz made profession of faith in Andijk on May 30 1733. She's listed with a group of people, but she doesn't appear with a husband. She was living in de Veldhuizen at the time.
