1893The Leavenworth Times Sun, Oct 8, 1893 · Page 5 reported that:
"Mr. Jacob Toffler, once a resident of Leavenworth but now of Antonito, Colorado and a constant reader of THE TIMES brought thirteen car loads of sheep to Kansas City a few days ago, sold the animals to good advantage and came to Leavenworth to visit Mr. M. Sallan and other friends. He left yesterday for home accompanied by Mr. Louis Caro and Miss Dollie Slvaick, of Alamosa, Colo."
1895 Jakob died on 26 Oct 1895 in Antonito, Colorado and was buried in the Sons of Truth Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.[12]
