Soldier Joseph Traver served with Dutchess County New York Militia during the American Revolution.

Joseph Traver is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A116159.

Per Joseph's DAR record, Joseph was baptised on 12-16-1732 in RHINEBECK DUTCHESS CO NEW YORK, he died after 1790 in RHINEBECK LIV DUTCHESS CO NEW YORK. He served in the 6TH REGT DUTCHESS CO MILITIA[1]

Identified by Jones citing Germantown baptism record Dec. 16 1732, May 24 1760 Rhinebeck Flats record of marriage to Rebecca Van Etten and pointing at regional records of their children (p. 1035).

Rebecca Van Etten and her husband Joseph Traver are named in her father's will: John Van Etten's will is dated September 18, 1787 in Rhynbeck precinct, Dutchess County, NY. [2]
