Son of Louis Trotet and Marie Catherine ___ ?__, of the parish of St-Christophe in Paris, France (Jetté says the mother's last name is Vinans, but the contract left the name blank per archivist of the province)

Marché entre Moïse Hilleret, le Sr Trotet (sic) dit St-Jean et Gabriel Artigias (sic) dit Ladouceur (2 novembre 1698). Notaire Antoine Adhémar Vol V pg 306^[1]

Jetté le dit engagé Ouest le 30 mai 1705. Il nomme sa mère Marie Catherine Vinans^[2] L'acte l'engageant n'a pas été retrouvé à date.

The site Nos Origines gives 8 Jan 1713 in St-Sulpice as date and place of marriage for him. There is no such marriage in St-Sulpice records. This is the usual location of the notary who did their contract, but where the marriage took place is unknown. Il n'y a pas de tel mariage dans les registres de St-Sulpice.^[4] St-Sulpice est la paroisse de résidence du notaire qui a fait leur contrat de mariage.

Il y a mention du mariage entre Gabriel Trotet et Thérèse Badaillac étant à St-Sulpice, Canada, Nouvelle-France selon le site et ce même site mentionne que Gabriel serait né vers 1688 à St-Christophe, Paris, France: http://www.nosorigines.qc.ca/GenealogieQuebec.aspx?genealogie=Gabriel_Trottet&pid=67498&lng=fr&partID=7000 la date de naissance est aussi problématique, il fait un acte notarié en 1698.
