According to Doherty in Beekman Patent, Timothy Mead married Martha Weeks (b 1703), daughter of Philip Weeks and Martha Hoyt. His reference for this however is the IGI.

Maybe Martha Hoyt is an avenue for investigation? If that doesn't yield results, we could call her Martha Unknown for now. Thanks!

It does look like the father Thomas may be the same man as his match, but the mother as Sarah Hicks born the same year, 1678, as this daughter Martha, makes no sense at all, and this is a good argument why parents should never be attached to existing profiles without discussion first. Or at least without looking at the time line, to see if it is even possible.

It is possible that Sarah was a second wife of the father Thomas. But the data is still very sketchy and completely unsourced.

So for now I am going to remove Sarah Hicks as mother again, because that is impossible.

Hmm, the wife of the other Thomas Rushmore father has a wife Sarah Hicks, also born 1678. And the death dates on the two Thomas Rushmore fathers do not line up. and this Martha born 1678 and the other Thomas Rushmore's son Thomas born 1694 are a generation apart.

So all that gives me pause. It seems there are a bit of data errors somewhere. Let me look at the other Martha, to see if anything else in common will fit.
