Biography

The Jan. 19 1658 New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church record of marriage banns says Cornelis van Langevelt, from St. Laurens in Flanders, published intentions to marry Marijtje Jans from New Amsterdam.^[1]

A Sept. 4 1662 power of attorney document (O.M. ii, 25f) contains many pertinent details.

Cornelis Van Langevelt ... He passed away about 1663. Death date appears in Orphans Court minute mentioning joint will.
