Research Notes

Note saying " 'Annetje Woedert' is perhaps the most unusual rendering of Ann Woodward that we might ever see" merely showed ignorance of New Netherland. Annetje is a Dutch name and "Woedert" is the kind of phonetic rendering of an unfamiliar name that commonly occurred in New Netherland churches. Smith-62120 22:07, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
