Biography
Arthur was born on 20 February 1862[1]. He was the son of William Welch and Sarah Hedley[2].
Arthur Welch died young.
He died on 16 February 1871 aged 8[3]. An inquest was held on the following day before the Coroner, H. T. Spratt, Esq. He found that Arthur was killed by being thrown from his horse. The jury returned a verdict of "Accidental Death".[4]. He was buried at Christ Church Cemetery. Taita[5].
