1776 Project
Private Ephraim Wheeler Jr. served with 5th Connecticut Regiment (1777), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Ephraim Wheeler Jr. was born on 25 March 1750 in Fairfield, Connecticut. He is the son of Ephraim Wheeler and Martha Bulkeley. [1]

He enlisted in the Revolutionary War 12 May 1777 in the 5th Regt. Conn. Continental Line. He deserted 23 Nov 1777; rejoined Apr 1779; deserted 10 Feb 1780.

He passed away around 1783. [2]

(updated 8 Jun 2020): Currently working on conflicting sources for Ephraim Jr.'s wife. The Wheeler Family history cited below names Jemima but I have found other sources listing Abigail Read of Redding Conn. as his wife.--
