Biography

David Whittinghill was born on 9 Jun 1819 in Ohio, Kentucky to parents John Whittinghill and Elizabeth Cooper. He married firstly Margaret (Polly Ann) Phillips on 19 Feb 1843 in Ohio, Kentucky. Children: Silas W, Josephine (Josie), John Solomon, James William, Vitula Vida, David Cicero, Charles Peter, Rufus Taylor, Dudley B, Dexter Gooch, Robert Coleman. After Margaret died in 1881 he married secondly Martha Haden Carpenter on 8 Nov 1883 in Martin, Kentucky. He died at age 82 on 7 Jul 1901 in Madisonville, Hopkins, Kentucky.
