Biography

Martha Wilborne is a part of US Black heritage.

Martha was born about 1887 in Halifax County, Virginia. She was the daughter of James Edward Wilborn and Jenetta Gaines. She was raised in Roanoke, Halifax County, where her father farmed. She married James Lovelace in Philadelphia in 1908. They had at least one daughter who died young and who was living with grandparents in 1910. Nothing further is known at this time about Martha.
