George Wilcox, "late of Exeter, now residing in Hopkinton" wrote his will on 3 May 1760 and it was proved perhaps in 1762 in Hopkinton, Rhode Island.[3] The year his inventory is taken is hidden in the book fold, but it may be 1762, so it may have been taken on 9 March 1762.[3] This info is based on the note, payable on 25 March 1762 in his inventory, and where the record is in the book. He mentions his son George Wilcox, his wife Margaret, sons, Jeremiah Wilcox and Matthew Hazard Wilcox; his two eldest daughters, Marcy Tanner and Mary Tanner; and his four youngest daughters, Margaret, Hannah, Marvel, and Theoda Wilcox.
