Biography
- Malinda was born on 17 July 1819 in Bridgeton, Parke County, Indiana, the second of nine known children and oldest of four daughters of Jacob Wimmer and Eliza Mills.
- On 27 April 1849, when she was almost thirty, she married Daniel Kalley in Parke County, Indiana, and they became the parents of nine known children, five sons and four daughters (two died in infancy or early childhood):
- Captain Francis M. Kalley
- Sarah Jane Kalley
- Isaac Harvey Kalley
- Hezekiah S. Kalley
- Arminda C. (Kalley) Overpeck
- Major Bliss Kalley
- Daniel Kalley (died in infancy)
- Hester Ann Kalley
- Asa B. Kalley (died in early childhood)
- Malinda died of unknown causes on 25 February 1902 when she was eighty-two years old. She is buried in Clear Run Cemetery, Bridgeton, Parke County, Indiana.
