See notes on her husband. There are several reasons I’m certain Anne is the mother of Catherine Winegar instead of Catherine Coon. According to one record in Familysearch, there was a Catherine born to Garrett Winegar and Anne Whitley in 1775 in CT, and according to another in 1776 in Fort Ann, NY. Catherine Coon must have died before 1775, because that is the year Garret is listed in many records as marrying Anne. And Catherine Winegar was born in 1776. Also, Garrett’s brother John moved to Lee MA, in the same county as Great Barrington. When they married, Garrett and Anne could easily have moved there to be closer to his brother. John had a Catherine with his wife in 1763 and her later life is accounted for in other records so our Catherine couldn’t have been her and I doubt John would have had a second Catherine.
