Adcock, Barbara Lucille 1/14/1935 - 10/7/2016 Lakeland, Florida Barbara Lucille (nee Witbrodt) Adcock, widow of Kenneth Andrew Adcock and daughter of Conrad and Mary (Wazny) Witbrodt, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 81. Barbara was born in Auburn, Michigan, and attended school in Bay City, graduating from T.L. Handy High School. She was married to Kenneth from 1974 until his death in 2013. Barbara was a business woman, owning her own salon for many years. She was also a devoted wife, mom, and grandma. Barbara was gifted with an eye for beauty and a talent for creating beauty to share with others. She was a talented crafter, stitcher, and painter, some of whose watercolors won awards. In addition she was an avid bowler and golfer. Barbara was an active member of the Sandpiper Golf and Country Club. She was a member of St Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Lakeland. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, five sisters, and her husband of 40 years, Kenneth. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Kimberly (Adcock) Kobayashi, son-in-law Larry Kobayashi, and two grandchildren, Rebecca and Nathan Kobayashi, as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and many friends. Barbara will be buried next to her husband, Kenneth, at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan, at a date yet to be determined. No funeral or memorial service is scheduled at this time.
