On the baptism (Tulbagh Baptisms 1743-1815 (image 435 of 779) baptisms 1.07.1799 - 8.10.1799) {FamilySearch}) there is another Wietse attributed to the same parents: "[14 Julij 1799] Wietse geb:d: 14 Novbr 98 oud Johannes van d'r Westhuijsen; hilletje bootes get: gerrit olivier ; hester meijburg" ... Could it be that the grand-mother is mentioned here instead of the mother, or could it be Hilletje Margaretha Botes (1770-) that married perhaps a Johannes van der Westhuijsen perhaps? The other Wietse (Wietske (van der Westhúijzen) van der Westhuizen (1798-)) that has a Johannis (van de Westhuijsen) van der Westhuizen (1758-) as father, has Christina (Cloete) van der Westhuizen (bef.1762-) as mother and was born on 3 Jan 1798 and baptised on 9 Sep 1798. I have not created a profile for this namesake 'Wietse' as yet because I'm not sure which Johannes and which Hilletje are indicated with this baptism entry.

Van d' Westhuijsen-7 and Van der Westhuysen-32 appear to represent the same person because: duplicate profiles

Looking at the baptism image I think the father's surname was written as "van dr Westhuijzen". As that's not possible to include as the LNAB, I reckon we should have the LNAB as "van der Westhuijzen".

Re my previous comment - I can't get it formatted correctly. I'll change your transcription accordingly - see if you agree with that.

Error data base alert: Caution: Unusual information. Is the following correct?
  1. It's unusual for a mother's birth date (Botes-216 born 1726) to be more than 55 years before the birth date of one of her children (Van der Westhuysen-32 born 1793) .

Based on the Baptism image I think the LNAB should be "van der Westhúijzen"

Looking at the Baptism image I believe his year of birth was 1798 (it looks like the 8 was scribbled over a 9). That means his parents were in their 70's when he was born - not impossible I suppose, but very unlikely. However, I can't seem to find anyone else who may be likely candidates for his parents. He also doesn't appear in the SAG register which is interesting.
