Hi Dan, I saw your approval of the merge for Pickney Turner. Are you a Turner cousin?

Hi Pam, I'm a Tucker descendant, not Turner, though I am aware that one or two branches of Pinckney Tucker's descendants were Turners. I'm in direct touch with a couple of them actually, and togther with one of them, Wilma Bown, have done quite a bit of DNA research on the descendants of Pinckney and his wife Rebecca McMillan. I'm not seeeing them in your tree, do you descend from them too?

Thanks by the way for adding all of the sources on Pinckney's profile, I was planning to do that myself this evening, so you saved me a lot of time! Also I see that you added Price back in as his middle name. I've actually not found any proof that his middle name was Price, only that his middle initial was P. Have you seen it somewhere as Price?

I am a very distant cousin. Some of of the Tucker women married into my Turners and Johnson’s. I would love to correspond more as we have a few that we can’t connect together. I say we because another cousin who isn’t in WikiTree is also searching. She was the one who said his middle name was Price in her notes. I’ll shoot you a PM and see if you can answer a few questions. I’ve traced 2 lines back that don’t seem to connect. More soon.

Hi, Dan,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
