Biography
Schooled in Amersham and High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK. Became International Telephone Networks Apprentice Engineer in 1980 Became Networks Planning Manager in 1986
Went to Greece in 1993 to become a charter-yacht skipper.
In 1997 Joined first "Private" sailing yacht: "High Five" as skipper (Palma-Med-Atlantic-Caribbean-USA-Bermuda-Caribbean-UK-Germany.
Became temporary engineer in 2000 aboard sailing yacht "Mirabella-C" while the regular incumbant was off on long-term sick. During this time I enjoyed my third (and fastest) Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean. During this passage I became determined to obtain higher sailing qualifications in order to run vessels such as Mirabella myself. In Spring 2001 I obtained "Master for Yachts up to 3000 tonne". A serious qualification! Whilst understudying (as Mate) aboard m/v "Fair Lady", I met my own fair lady (ashore) and left the boat to join her. We've been together 19 years, married since 2003.
My wife "Penny" (Nee Gordon Cumming) has a very interesting pedegree; a direct descendant of Sir William Gordon-Cumming, 4th Baronet. However her father was descended from the "spare", not the "Heir", so she is a commoner like me!!
We have one child, a daughter born in 2006 in Chichester, UK.
We have sailed and travelled extensively, and plan to take to the water again once our daughter has found her feet, and I have made enough to retire!! (Could be never!)

I just want to offer a pointer. I coincidentally noticed that you have done several merges, and I am guessing that you did this do correct a last-name-at-birth. As the profile manager, you CAN change the LNAB: go into Edit mode, scroll down to Last Name At Birth, you will see the word "edit" in brackets following the name. Click on "edit" and you will be given a new form for changing the name.
