This Gerrit, born/baptised in 1754, appears to have been conflated with a younger sibling of the same name baptised in 1764. The 1764 baptism record [1] names the same parents as Gerrit born in 1754, implying that the older Gerrit died before 1764.

The Gerrit who married Lea Barnard died in 1837 [2], age 75, therefore born c1762. The parents named on the 1837 death record of Gerrit align with his 1764 baptism, and names the same children as recorded on the 1834 death record of Lea - confirming that the Gerrit who married Lea was born in in c1762 and not 1754.
