Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with anyone who shares the same ancestors. Here is my family tree.
My Burd family was actually Birds. My third GG Zenas changed the spelling just when his family including brother Philander, father Samuel Osman migrated to Plymouth Canton Michigan abt 1825 from Oneida county New York. They were farmers. The other part of that New York group went to Wisconsin about 1830 to build the State Capital building...they were carpenters. Whole line descended from 9th GG Thomas Bird when he immigrated from Dublin by 1634 in Braintree MA and then on to Farmington CT.

I can help with these names: Bird, Burd, Byrd, Contri, Eldridge, Simons, Hocking, and maternal names. Still looking for Thomas Bird (b.1599 in England) sources in England, he arrived here by 1634 in Farmington, Hartford, CT and bought swampland since he was a basketweaver. I have undergone a DNA test to prove my line of BUrds belong to the BIrds of Thomas.
