I’ve not heard back from you regarding the US Southern Colonies Project so have gone ahead and removed you from the project for now. However, if you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here.
I sent you a message a week ago to let you know about the exciting changes in the US Southern Colonies Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have no yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If so, which team(s) would you like to be on and please can you private message me with your e-mail address so I can get you added to the project’s Google Group?
If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’d be most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
As you will have seen, we have been doing some restructuring in the US Southern Colonies Project and are now organising ourselves into different teams. We have also changed the criteria for membership. Please have a look at the new project pages, and let me know whether you would like to remain in the project and, if so, which team(s) you would like to be in.
Please can you also send me your e-mail address. I can then make sure you are introduced to your Team Leaders and are in the Google Group.
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the US Southern Colonies Project that you respond to these check-ins. We’re really excited for the future of the project and hope that you decide to be a part of it with us moving forwards.
I noticed that you were currently following the CEMETERIES tag, but were not yet a member of the Cemeteries Global Cemeteries Project. If you are interested in more details about the project, or are just ready to sign up, please head on over to our G2G Welcome Post for more information.
Thanks for joining us! I hope you're enjoying our site and our community. I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Has the New Member How To Pages been helpful or has it left you with questions?
It's great to have you on board. Enjoy your time here, and good luck growing your branches. If you need help just click on my name you'll be transferred to my profile where you can post a message or send me a private message.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
Thanks for signing the Honor Code, Wanda. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.
One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

I have been doing my family genealogy since 1999. I have a huge GEDCOM that is too large to upload.
I tried... LOL So, I will just continue to enter my family manually. I have been truly conflicted about
sharing all of my hard work ever since Rootsweb and Ancestry stole my file and started charging people to
see it. I had a huge family site before MyFamily.com closed. I am going to give this a whirl to see how well
it is managed. Thank you for reaching out!
I know what you mean about being conflicted, Wanda. I too had a pretty good sized tree at RootsWeb when they went down. About the same time, two research buddies died and their research is lost to the rest of our group. I decided at that time that I would rather my research be somewhere than lost completely. I have met and talked with the founder of WikiTree and he truly is committed to keeping the data freely accessible to all. He's even gone so far as to make arrangements for the database to be available in the event unexpected events occur. You can read about that commitment in the Protecting Our Shared Tree FAQ.
I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site
Happy tree climbing
