Incorrect parents

There is no source confirming that she was the daughter of Jeanne Carpentier. There is no source to confirm that she was the daughter of Adrien Creste and Denise Barré. On the contrary, Adrien Creste and Denise Barré have two known children, Raouline and André. No mention of Françoise. Rassinot-1 08:42, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

No credible source has been found, so far, that identifies Françoise's parents. Neither Fichier Origine nor the PREFEN page name the parents. The Rootsweb and Geni pages mentioned below are completely unsourced. There are also numerous problems with the profiles of Adrien Creste and especially of "Jeanne Carpentier".

For all these reasons, parents will only be attached to this profile if they are supported by reliable sources. Thanks, all!

According to: https://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=lcompagna1&id=I24346&style=TEXT

daughter of Adrien Creste and Denise Barré; Jeanne Carpentier being Adrien's mother, not his wife.

I found this link regarding her parents. Hope this helps.

It seems she was married to a Barnabé Gagnon, but her parents were Nicolas Martin Creste (1535-1595) and Jehanne Charpentier (1532- abt 1590)

Adrien Creste was married to Denise Barré and they were parents of Raouline Creste. Does someone have a source confirming that he was also married to Jeanne Carpentier? Or that Adrien Creste and Jeanne Carpentier are Françoise's parents, for that matter (I can see that Françoise and Barnabé were parents of Pierre and Olivier Gagnon, but where is the source for Françoise's parents?)

Thanks Isabelle

No shutguns in those years; perhaps a threatening teethless mother in law?......(Also humor)

possible "shotgun wedding" ? ( just trying some humor here )  ;-)

Family info provided by Norman Gagnon (Gagnon-853) for Françoise Creste:

"Francoise Creste, (Crete), (Charest) born abt-1548 / Le Mans, Maine, FRA Marriage to Barnable Gagnon: Abt 1568, Le Mans, Maine, FRA"

Olivier Gagnon's birth date should be abt/bef 1565 for all dates to be legitimate, But still the matter of the marriage of his parents in 1568 (1564 ?). Very tight schedule...

Creste-11 and Creste-2 appear to represent the same person because: same name, spouse
