My great grandparents were James (ID 88344) and Mary Smith. I'm the great grandson of William Smith, grandson of William James Howard Smith and son of John Kenneth Smith. I see these ancestors are listed in the tree but I am not.
I am keen to add more details of my family to the family tree but I can't work out how to do this. Can someone please guide me through such steps.
It may be of interest that I grew up on part of the original crown grant (land) obtained by James Smith in 1869 and have a copy of the document.
Also the original house built by James and Mary is still lived in today. (not me)
Cheers
Peter Smith
Hi Tracie, as a Wallace I am interested in when and where your Wallaces come from. You may want to expand the info in your TAGS to indicate the time and location of the people in the TAGS that you have interest in following. Happy Hunting, Jess Wallace
Thanks for completing the tags indicating you wish to research/document your family history. I have found WikiTree to be an excellent tool for research and collaboration.
You are now a confirmed member of the WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.
A warm welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used and it is FREE. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Were really glad youre here. More importantly, have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest.

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
