Samuel was born in 1668 in Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.[2] Samuel married Mary Jones on 8 June 1693 in Woodbridge, NJ.[3]
Note that there is an entry for the death of Samuel Fitz Randolph at Woodbridge on June 25, 1754 in the US Quaker Meeting Records, for the Rahway and Plainfield Monthly Meeting, p. 190 (deaths).[4][5]

The will of Samuel Fitz Randolph Sr. of Woodbridge, Middlesex County, NJ was written 22 May 1750 and proved 5 August 1754. It mentions wife Mary, and children Samuel, Prudence Smith, and Jacob, and granddaughter Susannah Copland. Executors were son Jacob Fitz Randolph and Richard Carman. Witnesses were Jeremiah Fitz Randolph, Job Pack, and John Coddington. [3]
The inventory of Samuel Fitz Randolph was taken by Jonathan Kinsey and William Gilman on 4 July 1754 and amounted to 89 pounds, 19 shillings, 10 pence, including three large and two tea silver spoons worth 2 pounds, 5 shillings; a large Bible worth 1 pound 10 shillings; two old negroes worth 3 pounds 10 shillings; a clock worth 4 pound 10 shillings. The account of Jacob Fitz Randolph was entered 8 October 1759, the Executor, whose charge for his mother's board for four years (to August 23 1758) was 55 pounds, 8 shillings, and for her clothing 3 pounds, 2 shillings, 8 pence. [3]
