A. Ford was born in Glamorgan, Wales.

Hello,

My interest in Genealogy has been there since around 1990. I remember visiting St Catherine's House in London and searching through the huge volumes of Birth Marriage & Death indexes. How things have changed over the years.

I maintain a standalone copy of my own family history database using the free GeneWeb software (a BIG 'Thank You' to Daniel de Rauglaudre for creating and providing such a great free tool).

For some time I've searched for a suitable permanent online home for my own family tree, and in WikiTree I think I've found the best place. So, now starts the formidable task of slowly building up a version on WikiTree.

Hi A

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to continue adding sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. If you have exhausted what you know on one line, try a different one. 24 hours after you connect to an existing profile, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.

Let me know if you have any questions, and have fun!

Hi A!

I am pleased to confirm you as a member and welcome you to the WikiTree family. Your contributions will go a long way to joining the world’s trees together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Please add as much information as you can, with sources, as it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Have fun collaborating on your ancestors

Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter
