Hi Sangeet,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Sangeet, Per my message below, there are certain responsibilities of tidying up profiles and documenting differences when performing merges. Please do not perform merges on profiles if you are unwilling to complete all the tasks involved. If you have any questions, please contact me.

HI, I see you are working on merges, you may want to review Merging FAQs to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. If you have any questions, just let me know.
