Eleazor (also spelled Eleazar & Eleazer) Gidney was born 18 March 1665/66 in Salem, Massachusetts. [1][2]
He married Mary Ann Mott (listed as Anna Mett) in New England in 1697. In New England Marriages Prior to 1700 entry listed as follows:
"GEDNEY, Eleazer (1666-1722) & Anna [?Mett] (?1670-1750?); b. 1697; Mamaroneck, NY" [3]
He worked as a shipwright.
He passed away in 1722. [4] There is a Gedney burying-place near Mamaroneck, on the west side of the river. it contains the graves of some of the oldest inhabitants of the town. Eleazer Gedney of the family in Rye, New York, 'born in Boston Government' who died 27 Oct 1722 is buried here. [5][6][7]
Eleazar was born in 1666. He passed away in 1722.
