Hi Alan,

Thanks for your contributions to our tree.

I see that you have been adding pre-1700 profiles tonight using an unsourced Ancestry family tree as your source. This is not an adequate source for pre-1700 profiles. Would you please review the Pre-1700 Quiz and the explanations about the sort of sources WikiTree is looking for, as well as our Help page on Sources.

Thank you!

Dave

Hi Alan,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi Alan, Thank you for the note and question!

I see you have not used the email sent to you to complete your account and profile set up by adding your tags and tag comments and volunteering.

The confirmation for WikiTree comes to you as an email, so you may need to check your inbox and spam folder. If you cannot find the email, a new confirmation email can be generated at E-mail confirmation problems.

The other option is to Click here to go to your Home Page to finish adding tags, tag comments and volunteering by clicking the add tags and volunteer button at the bottom of the page.

You can only work on your profile until you add tags, volunteer and are confirmed a full member.

To contact me, click the link to my name above, then send a private message or post a comment on my profile page.
