Congratulations, you have now been part of WikiTree for one month! We're so glad you're here.

A few more ideas to help you make the most of our site:

Beyond The Basics of WikiTree is a guide to some more advanced features of WikiTree.

If you would like to help out in other areas, the opportunities can be found at Volunteers Needed.

If you haven’t found us already, WikiTree is active on many Social Sites. We also have a blog with news of WikiTree events and further ideas from WikiTree members.

If you have any questions, I can be contacted via my profile page.

Hi Julie,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Julie

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

We have a project you might be interested in for Scotland, check it out here: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Scottish_Clans

Thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles along with adding your own family branch to our huge ancestry tree here on WikiTree!!

Welcome to WikiTree!

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

You'll get an email from us that has helpful links to get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any other genealogy site out there.

When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? ?Fill in the tags and comments on your profile to show what you're researching? ?and click the "Save Tag(s) and Volunteer" button, and one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!
