Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

As a wikitree newbie... to start with... I just posted up one "problem" line in my family - the Pribbles. I am "for sure" (OK as sure as I can be) a descendant of the Pribble family of Maryland and West Virginia going way back... but there is (a little uncommon) an "unexpected maternal event" with regard to the maternal parentage of my 2nd great grandfather, Ulysses Pribble, whose mother seems from various angles, not to be (as might be naturally assumed) the prolific wife of Hugh Pribble, the father of Ulysses. I am hoping to connect with other descendants of Hugh Pribble's "other family" who, like me, may not descend from Hugh's wife, Elizabeth Permilia Jackson...but who may have an inside scoop on what the real story is.
