DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Steve or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Steve:

:I prefer myself to have the information time stamped as it is because the profile managers are scattered across the globe and thus in different time zones
Equally important is the identification of whomever has entered a profile and altered it ... if I am the current manager and it is an Open profile, I need to know this. If they have made an undocumented change I need to know who I am talking to about their lack of documentaion, and so I can tell them I am segregating their undocumented info or that I am removing it (if it is wildly wrong)
I need to know who is making changes to determine if they have enough experience with WikiTree policies etc. such as Accuracy, sources with citations (URLs) and other such rigorous checks on the quality of profiles
