Hi David. I just found your profile here. It looks like you are my 5th cousin. We are both descended from John William Kilmer and Mary Howard (you from them on two branches, and also Jesse Howard and Chloe Watson on another branch....very common for the Kilmer line!) I have a huge tree on Ancestry if you ever want to take a look.
Thank you. I just changed Elizabeth Pike to uncertain. However, though not definitive, based on William’s birth year in 1629, it seems likely that Pike and not Marvil is his birth mother. Edward Howe did not marry Elizabeth Marvil until 1632.
Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Based on your self-introduction, I’m going to suggest that the Virginia project could well fit your current research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Please take your time. Speed is less important than accuracy here. Add at least one source to each profile before you leave it.
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

01:36: Anonymous Howe added Elizabeth (Pike) How (abt.1573-abt.1632) as mother for William How (abt.1629-1676). [Thank Anonymous for this]
Did you see the comments that Elizabeth Pike married a LOWE, not a HOWE?
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
