I am a direct descendant of the Langston's on my mother's side. My grandmother was a Langston. There are many of us to be sure, as they were prolific.
I have DNA tested at Family Tree DNA. Not just my Autosomal DNA (Autosomal DNA is a term used in genetic genealogy to describe DNA which is inherited from the autosomal chromosomes. An autosome is any of the numbered chromosomes, as opposed to the sex chromosomes. Humans have 22 pairs of autosomes and one pair of sex chromosomes (the X chromosome and the Y chromosome), but I have also tested my Mtdna, (Mitochondrial DNA tests trace people's matrilineal (mother-line) ancestry through their mitochondria, which are passed from mothers to their children. ... Because mitochondria is passed on only by women, no men (nor their ancestors) from whom one descends are encapsulated in the results)
If you are part of the Langston line I encourage you to do more than just an Autosomal test.
My paternal line is Justice, (Jestes, Jetsus, Justis, Justis) The last male in my line I can confirm by written documentation is Abraham Justice who married Hettie Stonecipher. My father has done his Ydna at Family Tree DNA and his Autosomal DNA as well and I am his administrator. We did not match any of the three main lines in the Justice Family Project but his autosomal test did get some interesting hits. We cannot confirm we are part of the Gustaffson line without documentation so please check your sources before you attach this line.
I encourage any male Justice to do a Ydna test at Family Tree DNA and join the Justice Family Project.

Did you get an answer to this question? Even though you have waivers, a Family Member account would need to be opened for him (if he is living) so that WikiTree can show he agreed to have it posted. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you for signing the Honor Code.
I see that you have had your DNA tested, congratulations! Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to continue adding sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. If you have exhausted what you know on one line, it can sometimes help to add what you know on another line. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. 24 hours after you connect to an existing profile, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches which relate to the particular branches you are researching.
Let me know if you have any questions, and have fun!
