Eventually I'll get more information in here, but for now, the key takeaways are:

  • I've been interested in genealogy since 7th grade, but only actively working on it since about 1997 when I moved to Canada and, not knowing anyone but my husband, and not being able to work, decided to reconnect with my great-uncle and dig in.
  • My great-uncle, Lindon Bramwell, did a fair bit of research on our Bramwell and Porter lines as well as others. His name comes up often in research. If you have questions of him, I may have the answers or my parents might as they have his files.
  • I'm possibly single-handedly responsible for spreading the false information that our Kohls line's surname was originally "Landers." I misread the "S" as an "L." It's actually Sander and I have the proof now. If you've imported this "fact" into your tree, please update it accordingly. When I get to the point in my tree where it switches names, I'll be sure to have the visual proof included. In the meantime, I'm sorry!

Hi,

It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Since you’re not working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams yet, please look at our main Project page for a full list and let me know which team you’d like to join.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. In your response, we welcome any feedback you may want to give on the project (what you like about it, what you’d like to see us do, what we could change, etc.)

If you ever have any questions, please ask. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Traci,

Yes, I'm still interested in being part of the project. Unfortunately, while most people had the world slow down a bit in the past 18 months or so, mine got busier. I sincerely hope to be able to carve out some time to return to one of my favorite hobbies soon.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
