Margaret, are you also Margaret Gray? Someone posted a scan of the Blanton Tate-Guyton Bible on Ancestry, and I am trying to find who owns it. William Tate who married Molly Guyton died intestate while visiting his son in Hall County GA. Mary Guyton Tate died intestate in Union Co GA. Apparently they had 9 or ten children but only 6 were named in the will distribution. Of course my person is not named. She IS named in the Tate Families of the south on Family Search, image 56. The Bible I am looking for makes this link. I am happy to share information.

Hi, Margaret. We have a DNA match. I also have Martha Caroline Moore, daughter of Franklin "Francis" John Moore and Malinda Moss. I would love to exchange information! My Moore family is from Haywood County and Buncombe County, NC.

PPS. Please avoid the use of abbreviations as they can mean different things in different countries, always use the full words

Hi Margaret

Thanks  for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz. As Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within a project is essential

Please ensure a location is entered on all profiles and data matches dates of profile. Avoid abbreviations as these can mean different things or location around the world, add sources with citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources

The United States  Project would be of interest. Adding the tag UNITED_STATES will connect you  Follow this link for your Tags:   your tags

Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one that fits your research focus.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing
