Joseph Lee is the son of unmarried parents. He was surrendered for adoption by his birth mother and placed with his adoptive family at one month. Catholic Charities in Jacksonville, FL was the adoption agency.
After taking a DNA test, Joseph assigned his sister to seek his biological family in his name. We hope to enhance his identity and that of his descendants.
Joseph received the assistance of his sister and the Adoption Angels (AA) to determine parentage, using his DNA Matches and genealogy. The AA points to Joan Ann Lee as his biological mother. His biological father, Albert Henry Thomson was likewise identified by the AA and his sister.
This profile is designed for the exclusive purpose of identifying and connecting biological ancestors and descendants. It will have little to no overlap with the individual who was adopted out of the Lee family and identifies with his adoptive name and adoptive family.
Joseph was brought up in North Florida and attended Catholic schools for most of his education. He followed his father into a trade union after high school and worked in this trade most of his career. Joseph is retired now and living on an acre of land in Fernandina Beach, Florida where he has developed what he calls his Jungle, filled with varieties of palm trees and tropical plants.
According to his Ancestry DNA results, Joseph's ethnicity estimates are:
Joseph's basic Y-DNA haplogroup is N-L550, using Ancestry DNA with cladefinder. [2]

My name is John Kingman. I am a Coordinator with the WikiTree DNA Project.
Since you have started following a DNA tag, you may be interested in how you can use DNA test matches with your relatives to strengthen your genealogy on WikiTree. You will find the answers in the Help pages, of which the DNA Help category page shows all the DNA help that is available, and the How to Get Started with DNA page is highlighted. Also the DNA Features page can show you various ways that DNA tests can work with your genealogy.
You may see some relatives show up in your list of "DNA Connections" on your profile if they have added a DNA test to their profile. These DNA Connections are possible DNA test matches, they are not sufficient for marking parental relationships as "confirmed with DNA" without providing a DNA Confirmation source citation providing details of an acceptable DNA match. You may find that you have acceptable matches with some of them. There is more information about DNA Connections on the DNA Test Connections page.
When you are ready to start documenting that your genealogy sources are confirmed by DNA test matches, be sure to follow the guidance at the DNA Confirmation help page. Also, I strongly recommend using the DNA Confirmation Citation Maker, for creating and/or validating your DNA confirmation source citations. Note that a profile should not be marked "confirmed with DNA" without source citations for both genealogy and relevant DNA test matches.
Since you mentioned that you were looking for your biological parents and family, you should check with the Adoption Angels project. They may be able to help you.
If you have questions or need assistance, feel free to ask on the G2G Forum using the Tag "DNA" and/or "DNA_Confirmation".
Happy hunting!
John Kingman
