Edward was a son of Leonidas Irving McDougle and Estelle May Walter. Edward died of typhoid fever in 1909.

Sharptown, Md., Aug. 5 - Edward M. McDougle, oldest son of Reverend and Mrs. L. I. McDougle, died here today of typhoid fever, after an illness of six weeks. The body was taken to Linden, Va., for burial. funeral services were held in the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which Rev. Mr. McDougle is pastor, at __ o'clock tonight, by Rev. R. H. Adams, of Harrington, Del.[1]
