Sarah (Newgate) Oliver immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).
Sarah Newgate was baptized at All Hallows, London, England on September 23, 1621, daughter John Newgate and his second wife Thomasine Hayes. [1]The family emigrated to New England.
1638: Will of John Newgate made prior to a trip to England, mentions daughters including Sarah. [2]
1640: June 20: Admission to the First Church, Boston: Sarah daughter of John Newgate. [3]
1664: November 25: Will of John Newgate: mentions son-in-law Peter Oliver and daughter Sarah. (p. 36-39) [2][5]
Captain Peter Oliver died April 11, 1670 at the age of 52 and is buried at the Granary Burial Ground. His Inscription reads: “Here Lyeth The Body of Cap. Peer Oliver / Aged 52 Years, Who Lived Much Beloved / And Dyed Much Lamented, on the 11th Day Of / April Anno 1670.” (p. 461; p. 641) [6]
His will was dated April 8, 1670 and proved on july 5: in it he left bequests to family members including: [7][8]
1671/2: January 15: Sarah Oliver, widow of Peter, confirms the sale made by Peter before his death of a warehouse and land to John Walley. (p. 13674)[9]
1680: July 23: Sarah Oliver, widow of Peter Oliver, releases Simon Lynde and Edward Jackson, executors of her father John Newgate's, estate as the amount bequeathed to Peter Oliver, or Sarah, has been paid. [10]
Sarah's funeral occurred on October 11, 1692. (p. 13674)[9]

Peter born March 4, 1655 [11]; graduated Harvard Colleg in 1675 [12] ; died between1678 and August, 1685. [8]
Samuel baptised January 11, 1656/7; died on September 9, 1657. [11][8]
James born March 19, 1659 [11]; married Mercy Bradstreet by 1695; died April 8, 1703 at Cambridge. [8]
Abigail born on January 1, 1661/2 [11] ; died before April 8, 1670 as she is not named in her father's will. [7][8]
Daniel born February 28, 1663/4 [11]; married Elizabeth Belcher, daughter of Andrew and Sarah (Gilbert) Belcher on April 3, 1696; died July 23, 1732, will probated Aug. 7, 1732. [8][9]
