Paternal line Y-chromosome DNA test-takers:
Pittman-3478 and Clevenger-113 appear to represent the same person because: These two art the same person afterall. Zachariah should have the last name of Clevenger
Sometimes people are given a middle name that is the family name of their mother. Perhaps that's the origin of the Pitman mis-assignment for this person?
Could be, but I can't find any documentation to support that. I did find that Zachariah did have a son named Samuel. Samuel is listed as an heir of Zachariah's will.
Pittman-3478 and Clevenger-113 do not represent the same person because: I initiated this merge. It was not the right way to handle this. Instead I am going to separate Zachariah Pittman from the Clevenger family.
Pittman-3478 and Clevenger-113 appear to represent the same person because: This is a duplicate. He was mistakenly given the last name of Pittman and a maiden name of Clevenger, even though he was a male. I removed the maiden name, but he must be merged with the correct entry.
