My name is Teresa and I am the 4th Great Granddaughter of Hezekiah Stout Jr (Stout-341) and the 5th Great Granddaughter of Hezekiah Stout Sr. (Stout-298)
I have been working on my Family tree electronically for over 30 years using Ancesty.com Wikitree and Family Search.org prior to that I was told stories of my family tree during Family Reunions or visits with family the topic would always come up.
I begun my search of both of my Grandfathers and their wives and children and all the while trying to disprove the marriage of Sarah Cine to my Grandfather and I have proved and sourced all of the Marriages of Hezekiah Stout Sr & Jr and the marriage to Sarah Cline does not fit in anywhere as it would overlap and make Sr Married to 2 spouses at the same time.
Thank you Sharon West for pointing out that: There is conclusive evidence that this Hezekiah Stout (Stout-298) did not marry Sarah (Cline) Stout as she bought land October 29 1789 the same day he is said to have married Mary Powers.
All of the records for Sarah Cline have been deleted from Ancestry and the West Virginia Vital Research Records Project Online Searchable Database and Digital Images of Selected Birth, Death and Marriage Records. Minus the headstone and land records it is almost as if Sarah Cline did not exist!
In conclusion Sarah Cline does not fit in any of the records of Hezekiah Stout Jr or Sr and I am repeating the words of Patt Seitas 'she also can not be buried in the Stout Cemetery with the 1823 headstone provided by Absalom Stout and he has her mixed up with Sarah Stout Marshall wife of TM Marshall. My Grandmother also told me that when we were discussing the family tree for a school project. Sarah Cline lived to be 90 years old and is buried in Southern Ohio with her family.
